KIMI trio performs new music by Icelandic composers Þuríður Jónsdótir and Kolbeinn Bjarnason. KIMI trio are Katerina Anagnaostidou (percussion), Þórgunnur Örnólfsdóttir (mezzo-soprano) and Jónas Ásgeirsson (accordion). --- Katerina Anagnostidou is a Greek percussionist based in Copenhagen who specialises in contemporary and early music, which she performs both as a soloist and with various ensembles. She is an accomplished keyboard player, having performed some of the most challenging repertoire available for keys, as well as performing/premiering avant-garde music with experimental instrumentation. Jónas Ásgeirsson is an Icelandic classical accordionist. He has been instrumental in cultivating the classical accordion image and repertoire in his home country. He is currently recording a CD with Icelandic compositions for the classical accordion, including a new concerto by Finnur Karlsson. Þórgunnur Anna Örnólfsdóttir is an Icelandic singer based in Copenhagen. She performs in a wide range from early to contemporary music but has been making a niche for herself in premiering new music.
