Concerts start at 20:30 The Dr. Gunni band is now entering its 23rd year of operation, but the beginning can be traced back to 2002 in a basement garage. Much has happened in the band's days, but now the band plans to play for the first time in Tónabíó, Saturday evening, March 22nd at 8:30 PM. The concert is in collaboration with the best radio station in the country, Xið977. Tónabíó used to be a remarkable cinema, where both guitarist and singer Gunnar Lárus and bassist Grímur Atlason saw the film Rokk í Reykjavík on the premiere day, April 17th, 1982. They were even at the same screening. At the same time, drummer Kristján Freyr and solo guitarist Guðmundur Birgir were eating sand in Ísafjörður. Later, Tónabíó became the main bingo venue in the country, but none of the band members remember having played bingo there. Now Tónabíó is a magnificent beer brewery with strong beer and a great atmosphere. Dr. Gunni has released three albums from which songs will be played.
